  • Positive of negative Alpha1 in first order Ogden

    Hi,

I see in Ogden et al. 2004 that alpha_i X mu_i>0 for Ogden formulations with N=<2. However, I see that this is not implemented in MCalibration. In other words, for 1st order Ogden I can get alpha_1 X mu_1<0. Of course I can myself implement the constraint but can you please advise me with this apparent inconsistency?

    Thank you!

I'm not sure I understand the issue. In MCalibration you can select any value of alpha_i and mu_i. MCalibration will then provide an either positive or negative stress depending on the applied strain history and the parameter values. You should then be able to calibrate the parameters to experimental data without problems.

Can you explain more? Am I missing something in your argument?
