  • How to define viscoelasitc, nonlinear in ABAQUS

I am studying on the viscoelastic materials and planning to use the Parallel Rheological Framework model in ABAQUS. But I can't find the nonlinear type in viscoelastic model and consequently fail setting parameters for PRF. It is said that the PRF networks should be defined by VISCOELASTIC, NONLINEAR option in ABAQUS user guide. Where to find the option or how to define viscoelastic, nonlinear?

    Thanks.

    Hello Yichen,

The PRF is not (yet?) available in the CAE, but can only be typed directly in the input-file.
You can find the information on how to do it in the materials manual, and in the keywords manual (under *VISCOELASTIC, NONLINEAR)

I usually assign linear elasticity when building the CAE model, then change it for a PRF material model in the input file.
