Cable element

Greetings:

I had a few questions pertaining to modelling a cable element in Abaqus.

1. Does abaqus have a cable element that can be used ?
2. Is it possible to model a truss element / beam element to have zero stiffness in axial-compression and have considerable stiffness in axial-tension?

Greetings:

I just wanted to inform that ABAQUS has a *NO COMPRESSION keyword that allows a material to have no compressive stresses, i.e., tension-only elements. It also has a *NO TENSION keyword for compression only elements.
