  • 9 Parameter Mooney-Rivlin Model

    Hello All!

So we all know the Helmholtz free-energy function of a 5- or 9-parameter Mooney-Rivlin material. But can anybody point me to the constitutive equation (stress- right cauchy-green tensor) for 5- or 9- parameter model?

    Thanks

    Hello Dakshitha,

I don't have the closed-form stress-strain equations available at this moment, but the derivations should be relatively simple.

I would like to note, however, that it is difficult to come up with an example which motivates the use for such a high order hyperelastic model. If the material is that non-linear then my experience is that the material is not non-linear elastic, but instead non-linear viscoplastic (which would require a different model approach).

      Dear Sir,

many thanks for your response. I derived the equation
