MSC Software’s technology is used by leading manufacturers for linear and nonlinear finite element analysis (FEA), acoustics, fluid-structure interaction (FSI), multi-physics, optimization, fatigue and durability, multi-body dynamics, and control systems simulation. Customers in almost every part of manufacturing use their software to complement, and in some cases even replace, the physical prototype “build and test” process that has traditionally been used in product design. Academic institutions, researchers, and students employ MSC’s technology to expand individual knowledge as well as expand the horizon of simulation.
PolymerFEM offers the PolyUMod® library of user-material models for general purpose finite element modeling of virtually all polymer systems, including thermoplastics, thermosets, elastomers, foams, filled plastics, and biomaterials. The PolyUMod material model library can be used with MSC.Marc in the same way as any of the built-in material models. PolymerFEM also offers MCalibration®, a material model calibration application that enables semi-automatic extraction of pertinent material parameters from experimental data for all material models available in MCS.Marc and the PolyUMod library.
