Relaxation test - Abaqus

Hello everybody.

I am trying to simulate non-linear viscoelastic material behaviour in Abaqus. For now, I have coded a UMAT (based on the attached paper) and was able to run it successfully. I was doing a relaxation test on a 1D - Truss element. The procedure I followed was,

Modelled a normal 1D Truss element. In [B]Step 1 (Static, General)[/B], I fixed the left end of the Truss and applied a small displacement (5 units) at the right end for 1 second.

I created [B]Step 2 (again Static, General) [/B]for 10 second, this time[B] fixing both the nodes of the element[/B] so as to have constant strain.

Is the approach correct? I would be glad to hear from people. I meshed it with a [B]single element[/B] of type [B]T2D2[/B]. Attached is also my[B] Input file[/B] (Relax.txt) in case you needed.
