Hi,
I am planning to perform fatigue testing(tension-tension) on my polymer composite using uni-axially loaded tensile testing machine.Because of some operational constraints, I wont be able to run for 10^7 cycles continuously. Can i run in batches like 50,000.Will it be of any use? Also in case I shut down the machine for few hours, should i remove the specimen or leave it in grips? In case the specimen is removed, will it cause creeping of my specimen?Your help will be highly appreciated.Thank you

It is OK to stop the test, if you have to. You can keep the specimen in the machine, or remove it, what ever works best for your equipment.
