Hello Dr Bergstrom,

I need to model an orthotropic elastic material and I am intending to use the Tsai-Wu (3D) stress failure behavior available in the polymod libraries (I have incorporated this failure model through the paralel network model -PNM)

Although the orthotropic failure behavior works fine, in the TNM model I cant model the orthotropic elastic pre-failure behavior.

Is there any way to incorporate orthotropic elastic together with Tsai-Wu 3D stress failure?

Thanks a lot.

Regards, Juan.

What material are you studying? Currently the easiest way to achieve what you are asking for is to use the Parallel Network Model which supports both anisotropic (visco)elasticity and anisotropic failure models.
