I am new to PolyUMod and was wondering if there are any material models for expanded PTFE foam materials.

I have done a lot of work on expanded PTFE, and there are good material models for this interesting material in PTFE. Best material model will depend on the details of your material. I typically use the TNV model or the PN model for this material class.

Dear Jorgen,

Thanks for quick response. For my application, this material is used only in compression and is it possible to calibrate the model with just compression curves ? Also is there a paper for reference, either yours or in the open literature.

Cheers

Another question. It seems as if the TNV and TN models are incompressible in the plastic regime, since they are treated as viscous fluids. Is this correct ? If not can you point me to some relevant literature that makes this compressible
