Hi,

I want to model microcellular PU foam in ansys by using 3rd order ogden foam material model . I wonder that can i use Biaxial tension test data instead of uniaxial compression test data to curve fit. I know biaxial tension can be used instead of uniaxial compression for nearly incompressible materials, but how about compressible foam? I want to remove friction between specimen and test apparatus so biaxial test can be helpful.

Unfortunately that will not work since the material is compressible ?

If you are interested in more details then check out my book.
