Questions about fitting to ANSYS Ogden Hyperfoam model
Compression data fitting (including transverse strains) produces NMAD less than 5.0 and both Engineering and True plots look great. When adding lapshear testing along with previously mentioned data, NMAD fitness is higher than 12 and the compression data is significantly different than the fit on the True stress-strain plots, they are fine on the Engineering stress-strain plots. What is going on here?
What additional data would a confined compression test help with? In other words, based upon the data that is mentioned above, is the confined compression needed to properly fit the hyperfoam model?
The hyperfoam model needs data to find the Poisson's ratio and the response in different loading modes.
It is hard to commend about your NMAD question without more info. Can you post some images?
