Viscoelastic modelling of brain tissue in abaqus

Hi,

I have been using abaqus to model brain tissue as a viscoelatic material. I have hit a wall. I have the viscoelatic materials for brain form a paper.

shear modulus kPa

short term long term decay (ms)

1.72 0.51 20

density

1040kg/m3

bulk modulus

2.19 GPa

poisson ratio

0.5

Im not sure how to get the shear modulus material properties into prony in abaqus

tau refers to decay and is a ratio

gi and ki to ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

What do you mean by short term long term decay (ms)?

To get a first order Prony series you will need to know the instantaneous shear modulus (or long term shear modulus), the amount of stress relaxation after a specific time, and the bulk of Poissons ration.

It sounds like you are might already have all of this data.
