Good afternoon,

How I observed on some articles which develop subject of stress-strain curve, appear some FEM results and with FEM results is compare analytical calculus and experimental calculus.

My question is how can be construct curve stress-strain for material using material data like :modulus of elasticity, Poisson coef., density of material.

Can be combined FEM power with analytical calculus in a manner in which values obtain from FEM is entered in analytical calculus and the results from analytical calculus is entered in FEM, in an iterative manner ?

Thank you for understanding and best regards.

P.S. Im ANSYS user.

I am afraid that I dont understand your question.
Can you explain more?

Hi Jorgen,

What Im curios is about if I can used FEM to construct stress strain curve begin from considerate that material have properties : modulus of elasticity, density, and Poisson coef. The probe which is used in FEM study must be the same like the standard probe.

First of all If I applied a Force=1N, second step F=10N, and so on.

This steps combined in some manner with analytical calculus have finally objective the engineering stress strain curve. This manner I want to adopted to find Mooney-Rivlin coef. Unfortunately I cant find yet how I can determinate coef. C01, C10 and D for this type of material. More than that this coef. are denominated material factor. I find a relation on some specialized articles which say that E/6=C01+C10.

I hope you can help me to find only one of this coef.

Thank you for understanding and support.

Best regards

If you know the Youngs modulus, then why do you want to find the Mooney-Rivin parameters? Can you not simply use the linear elastic model?

Good afternoon Mr. Jorgen,

My purposes is to find parameter C01, C10 and D1 because I using ANSYS software, and when I setup the material type like Mooney Rivlin with two parameters I need this values.

Maybe you can help me. If I have already stress-strain curve establish with modulus of elasticity constant, I can determinate this values (c01,c10,d) ? Maybe I dont understand very well some things. I hope you can offer me an support to understand better this things.

Thank you for understanding and best regards.
