I am still trying to create a rigid body but I found this problem:

First of all I defined a node:

*NODE,NSET=ROAD

1111, 0.0, 0.0, -42.2

And then a rigid body. As reference node I can only insert the number and not the name otherwise It will be a mistake but also in this case it become an error:

*RIGID BODY,REF NODE=1111,ANALYTICAL SURFACE=SROAD

The error is the following one:

***ERROR: PARAMETER REFNODE MUST HAVE A VALUE

LINE IMAGE: *rigidbody, refnode, analyticalsurface=Assembly-1_SROAD

***NOTE: DUE TO AN INPUT ERROR THE ANALYSIS PRE-PROCESSOR HAS BEEN UNABLE TO

INTERPRET SOME DATA. SUBSEQUENT ERRORS MAY BE CAUSED BY THIS OMISSION

*rigidbody, refnode, analyticalsurface=Assembly-1_SROAD

*contactpair, interaction=SRIGID

*surface, type=CYLINDER, name=Assembly-1_PART-1-1_SROAD

***ERROR: PARAMETER REFNODE MUST HAVE A VALUE

LINE IMAGE: *rigidbody, refnode, analyticalsurface=Assembly-1_SROAD

*rigidbody, refnode, analyticalsurface=Assembly-1_SROAD

***ERROR: PARAMETER REFNODE MUST HAVE A VALUE

LINE IMAGE: *rigidbody, refnode, analyticalsurface=Assembly-1_SROAD

*rigidbody, refnode, analyticalsurface=Assembly-1_SROAD

***ERROR: PARAMETER REFNODE MUST HAVE A VALUE

LINE IMAGE: *rigidbody, refnode, analyticalsurface=Assembly-1_SROAD

*rigidbody, refnode, analyticalsurface=Assembly-1_SROAD

*contactpair, interaction=SRIGID

*surface, type=CYLINDER, name=Assembly-1_PART-1-1_SROAD

***ERROR: THE ANALYTICAL SURFACE ASSEMBLY-1_PART-1-1_SROAD IS MISSING THE

ASSOCIATED *RIGID BODY OPTION

THE PROGRAM HAS DISCOVERED 5 FATAL ERRORS

** EXECUTION IS TERMINATED **

I don t understand:

1) What the error means

2) why it is repeted

Hope someone can help me.

Thats strange. Your rigid body command looks OK to me.
Are you sure your inp-file contains that exact command?
