Hello!

I am very new to ABAQUS, more or less, and Im trying to model a viscoelastic material (HDPE, specifically). The only data I have is a curve presenting the relaxation modulus as a function of time. As far as I understand, ABAQUS accepts the viscoelastic parameters in terms of a Prony series. How can I determine the constants and/or coefficients for the Prony series given my relaxation data?

Thanks!

You can input the normalized relaxation modulus directly into Abaqus/CAE.
CAE then determines the Prony series from the experimental data for you.
