Hi there,

The program I am using is Abaqus and Im having problems in rotating a rigid body (wire type) at the y-axis plane (axis-2). When I entered the boundary condition to rotate with a displacement of 36 degrees at y-axis (UR2), the result produced kept rotating at the z-axis (axis-3, perpendicular to the computer screen) instead. The model is axisymetric.

Can anyone help me with this? Thanks.

Celina.

It sound like you did not constrain all rotations appropriately. I recommend that you check your boundary conditions.
