Hello,

in the abaqus documentation many example subroutine files can be found, all with .f as the extension (fortran source file). However these dont work in windows I need .for subroutine files. Is there a simple way to convert the .f files to .for files?

Or does anyone have any .for subroutine files just so I can test to see if my abaqus is linking properly. It is currently not linking with my subroutine file and im just trying to diagnose the situation.

Thanks

Luke

Just rename the .f files to .for. The difference is just based on the operating system, Linux wants .f and Windows wants .for, but the actual code does not need to change.

To do a quick test you can just rename one of the subroutines that are included in a couple of the example files. They definitely should work.
