Hi all,

I am modeling an example on Abaqus using user subroutine Umat. In visualization module, when I want to plot the stress-strain curve, I created XY data which contain stress and strain using ODB field output (I tried element nodal and integration point), the total number of data is more than 22000, after that I operated it with typing combine(sum(strain expression),sum(stress expression)), when I plot the expressions, I get this error : SyntaxError:(more than 255 arguments,(,22133,None,None))

Could you please tell me what does this error mean and how can we resolve this problem to plot the curve.

I am looking forward to receive your answers.

Thank you in advance.

One approach is to use a coupling constraint to control those nodes, and then output the history values of the reference node alone.
Another approach is to extract the data using Abaqus/Python.

Read the Abaqus Manuals about *COUPLING, and about Abaqus Python.
Its no that hard, but I dont have time to create a tutorial 🙁
