I have a DCB (sandwitch specimen) with cohesive elements placed at the interface. I have defined a UEL in ABAQUS to simulate the cohesive behavior. Studying pure Mode I case, displacement is applied at the end of the DCB. Cohesive element works great (it fails when one reaches max separations). But I am having a difficulity in extracting the crack length (i.e. length of failed cohesive element) vs time step. Could you please kindly guide me in this regards?
The only thing I could find online was a comment that advised to define a node or element path along the interface and use the *Element Output command. However, I dont know what to put as the output variable in the *Element Output command.
