Arruda-Boyce model
Hi,
I have a very basic understanding of modelling UHMWPE in ABAQUS and I am interested in using the Bergstrom-Boyce model. I am trying to recreate the graph shown on this website for UHMWPE using the Bergstrom-Boyce model and the parameters that are supplied [7.726, 9.992, 400, -1, 9.156, -0.2, 5.168, 0, 44.376, 0.01]. My problem is that I am not sure how these values correspond to the material parameters that need to be specified to create this model on ABAQUS.
Hopefully this should be straight forward to explain.
Many thanks,
Kieran
Hi Kieran, good question. Heres an explanation of the parameters:
muA = 7.726
lambdaL = 9.992
kappa = 400
Tbase = -1 [no temperature dependence activated]
sB = 9.156
C = -0.2
m = 5.168
n = 0 [no temperature dependence activated]
tauBas = 44.376
Delta = xi = 0.01
Best of luck,
Jorgen
