I am modelling a visco/hyper elastic material and keep getting the error:

too many attempts made for this increment:mad:

What does this mean? And is it likely to be a material, mesh, BC problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :p

➡ What material model are you using?

➡ Do you get the error if you switch to a hyperelastic material model?

Thanks for your reply,

The structure I am testing is a hyper/visco core encased in a hyper cover. For the cover I am using the Aruda-Boyce model and for the core I am using the Aruda-Boyce and the Prony series with the time domain.

I am currently testing the material thoroughly in a variety of modes and will curve fit the data but wanted to try my model mesh etc so just used material data from past papers.

As Im sure you noticed I am fairly new to ABAQUS so any help, tips or other info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
