Hello,

I failed to run an ABAQUS 6.8-1 input file linked to a Fortran user subroutine. I got a massage error about the compilation of the fORTRAN Sub.I changed the extension of the Fortran file from .f into .for but I got the same problem. Bye the way I am using Compac Visual Fortran 6.6.1 installed on Windows XP. Also, I installed ABAQUS before intalling FORTRAN. I am wondering what is the problem?

I would appreciate If anybody could help solving this problem.

Thanks alot.

Dania

FORTRAN compilation error using ABAQUS6.8-1

Dear Dr. Bergstrom,

The error that I got is:

Error in job viscocylender: Problem during compilation - ifort.exe not found in PATH

Job viscocylender aborted due to errors.

Of course, the ABAQUS input file and the Fortran subroutine one are in the same folder.

Regards,

Dania

ifort.exe is the Fortran compiler. It sounds like you dont have the right search path setup on your computer.

I recommend that you run the provided bat-file that comes with the compiler that sets the path for you, and then try using Abaqus again...
