Hi,

I am seeking experimental data for silicone rubber with hardness Shore 15A in order to simulate an elastic medical structure with ANSYS. The material we have used as an base until now is Mold Star 15. Its properties are as follows:

Mixed viscosity: 12500cps
Spec. gravity: 1,18g/cc
Shore A hardness: 15
Tensile strength: 400 psi (2,758MPa)
100% elog. modulus: 55psi (0,379MPa)
Elognation at break: 440%

The material will work at room temperature and up to true strain 33% value.

Does anyone have data about such material or for close alternative that we can later buy off-the-shelf? That would save a lot of time and experiments :).

Regards and keep it converging!

Hi,

Nobody has any data about Shore 15A silicone material? Can you tell me, whether it could be bought somewhere? Any special database for that kind of material data?

Regards,

Henrik

I am looking for info for Shore 40 and 80 silicone material values for neo-hookean laws do you have in related info?

Thanks,

Will

Hi dub_smith,

Sorry, nope. We had to still do full testing. The convergence of solution is too dependent of the quality of data.

Cheers!

Henrik
