How do I find modulus of elasticity of Silicone or Viton if I know some constitutive model such as Mooney or Ogden.

I read from some literature that E=6(c1+c2). Is it correct or any other emperical formula is available.

There is no universally acceptable definition of the Mooney or Ogden model 🙁
Different FE programs define the parameters slightly differently.

What definition or FE program do you have in mind?

How to find E?

Iam working on robot soft finger manipulation. Iam studying Silicone, Viton and Neoprene for developing fingers.

I have developed an anlaytical equation, which relates contact force with deformation and E.

If we measure deformation experimentally, contact force would be known from the equation.

I understand that E is not available for such materials and only constitutive models are being used.

But, I need to know E for such materials to have the direct substitution in my equation.

With thanks,

Elango

stress-strain data

thanks Mr.Nandhish.

it is useful to me.

I need true stress-true strain experimental data for Silicone, Viton and Neoprene as well.

could you help me.

experimental data for silicone and viton

hi every one,

I need experimental load-deformation data for silicone and viton.

With thanks,

You might want to take a look at this page.
