This zip-file contains a couple of different ABAQUS/Explicit input files that can be used to test the vumat for the Neo-Hookean (NH) model (vumat_nh.f).

Dear Dr. Jorgen

I programmed the UMAT for the neo-hookean model using the same strain-energy function as you adopted in VUMAT.

My aim is to compare the results. However, my UMAT does not converge. Do you know what is the possible reason for that?

Many thanks,

ben

It might be related to the Jacobian matrix. Have you tried to run it with a linear elastic Jacobian?
