hi biopolymers
can any one have raw material data of PLA biopolymer and where can we get the literature to know about mooney rivlin models how to find the constants. and what is invariants. and how can we know about how to convert a raw material data to mathematetical model. i.e how to find the parameters. can any one help, my project is based on this only
There is experimental data for PLA available in the literature. Just do a quick web search.
Note that it may not be a good idea to use a hyperelastic material model for PLA. The only time you may be able to use a simple hyperelastic model (like the Mooney-Rivlin) model for PLA is if the PLA responds in a brittle way. Some PLA formulations can behave as a brittle material under certain temperature and strain-rate conditions, in other cases PLA can be relatively ductile.

experimental data
yah ur right jorgon i am searching for literature survey but i still not finding if you have it any one may post the web address. and the PLA material behaves as brittle or ductile that one depends on the temperature but still i am using at uniform temperature. i have to do some FEA experiments on it. any way thanks for ur information jorgan, bye
mooney rivlin
yes i got some material properties of a biopolymer and i have the stress atrain curve of it then how to find the material parameters for mooney rivlin i.e c10,c11,c01, c20,c02,c12,c21,c22 etc
