  • MCalibration: How to activate a failure model

MCalibration: How to activate a failure model

This tutorial shows how to activate a failure model with any of the PolyUMod material models. The attached pdf-file and MCalibration files contain all the details. Using a failure model allows for element deletion in Abaqus/Explicit once a critical stress or strain condition is reached....

  • MCalibration: How to calibrate a material model using both DMA and stress-strain data

Here is a tutorial on how to use MCalibration to simultaneously calibrate a material model to both traditional stress-strain data, and dynamic storage modulus (E') and loss modulus data (E''). The attached pdf-file and MCalibration files contain all the details.
One of the most useful features of MCalibration is the ability to calibrate a material model simultaneously using many different types of experimental data.

  • Exporting MCalibration data to ANSYS Workbench 13

Exporting MCalibration data to ANSYS Workbench 13

I created a movie that demonstrates how an MCalibration material model can be used in ANSYS Workbench 13. MCalibration supports a number of simple hyperelastic material model, the Bergstom-Boyce model, and a number of more advanced and accurate viscoplastic material models for polymers. The movie illustrated how these models can be used in ANSYS.
