    Non-Fickian Diffusion

    Hi,

I want to implement non-Fickian diffusion in Abaqus using heat transfer analogy. I am particularly interested in dual Fickian model which is two Fickian models working in parallel. I plan to use UMATHT for this purpose and I have studied the example of a simple non-coupled heat transfer given with UMATHT. But I am not clear how can I implement the dual Fickian model. It would be same as to have two conduction law based heat transfer going in parallel with different thermal conductivities and add their results at each step to get the temperautre.

    Any idea would be appreciated.

    Regards

    Aamir

Sounds like an interesting project. If you can derive the equivalent heat transfer equations, then you should be able to implement the UMATHT, right?

    Best of luck,

I think i also need some samples for thermo-coupled models. Is there a model that uses umat and umatht at the same time because i do not know how to apply heat equations in umatht.
