Dear administrator:
I make a model of visco material with large strain, and use mesh-to-mesh solution mapping.
I extract the old mesh and make a new mesh, in the new input file I add the command 'Map solution, step=, inc=, unbalanced stress=step' in order to continue the calculation.
However, I meet an error:
"The file for analysis with the rezone option was specified. The Abaqus analysis cannot be executed."
I do not know how to solve the problem, and I want to ask for a help.

Hmm, that sounds like a very strange error!

Unfortunately I do not know what that error message is supposed to mean. Does anyone else have any ideas?

A key problem for me is how to transfer the results of stress field from old mesh to new mesh in order to continue the calculation. Map solution command does not work with saying 'The file for analysis with the rezone option was specified. The Abaqus analysis cannot be executed.'

First, why are you trying to transfer the end state from one simulation to another?

Also note that you need to tranfer more than the stress state. You also need transfer / map all state variables.

I suggest that you check out the Abaqus manuals for how to do it. It can be done.

Dear Jogen:
I use Abaqus/standard, and mesh to mesh map solution technique.
1. Because the mesh has large distortion and I need remesh it , then make the second analysis.
2. Transfer all the state of the old mesh to new mesh, I use *Map solution, and even I make the model as the mannual introduced, after I have prepared a python script but when I want to
submit the job with "MAP SOLUTION", it gives an error : "the file with
rezone option was specified, the abaqus analysis could not be executed".
I feel strange,and I try to ask somebody who met the same problem.

I have remeshed a deformed part, but realy don't have any idea how to transfer all the state of the old mesh to new mesh.
As I know, "Map Solution " is a keyword command, and I am trying to run my ABAQUS job with a python program.
Could you please let me know how to use such a function in python command?

hello, the way is to use the command
abaqus job='...' oldjob='...',

This command is executed in black screen 'Abaqus Command', not in python.
'Map solution ' command should be added in input file of the new job.
It is the same as the example in the manual.
