    Displacements and loads

I have an object with L form whose vertical part I want that it has displacement zero because physically it is screwed to the wall, and I want that the horizontal part is free. How can I do this? Both parts are joined by Boolean->Add. Which is the load that I have to apply?

On the other hand, I want to place an object on the horizontal part and I need to simulate its weight rested on four legs.

Can someone help me with my two problems? Thank you very much.

For first part, use displacement boundary conditions
    For second, use constraint equations

Can you explain a bit more, please?

Sorry for the late reply. I was having my end semester exams !!

You can force the displacement of certain nodes to be zero while setting up boundary conditions for the nodes. This can be done using displacement b.c. option in ANSYS.

For the second part of the problem, you might want to use constraint equation to make both the table and the object behave in the way you want. You can also couple DOFs, that might be a bit easier.

I am grateful very much for your answers but I only have achieved to simulate the displacement of the vertical part is zero. I have not still managed to simulate the weight.

Is what I ask so complicated? I only want to simulate the weight of an object placed on a table. What type of load is it necessary to use?

Thank you very much. Regards and merry christmas.
