Hi Dr. Jorgen and all other FEM mates,

I have an elastic model under poking. I was wondering, by output variables, field and history data, how can I evaluate which sections (a single element or a group of elements) are under compression and which sections are being expanded (under tension). Additionally I wondered which stress/strain variables are the best to show stress/strain directions in elements.
