    ist possible UMAT subroutine make the element to active or deactive the element? what the coding should input?

    No it is not possible. In a VUMAT, however, it is possible to deactivate elements (integration points).

    thanx fo the information..

    may i know have any solution can be solved in the abaqus...
    im need to add and remove element if the strain is greater or less than threshold....
