PLAXIS, soft soil creep model

Hi

Can anybody make it clear, how the soft soil creep model in PLAXIS takes the 'immediate settlement' in to consideration?

I'm modelling the oedometer tests in PLAXIS, and I found that the settlement estimated from the experiments is higher than what PLAXIS gives. I wonder if it could be because of the immediate settlement.

That could be true. I'm not that much familiar with plaxis, but I think that you should be careful with procedure for calculating settlement, first calculate E-P deformation then consolidate.
