    MCalibration

    I have done several bending experiments on thermoplastics with different strain rates. MCalibration propose different loading modes (uniaxial, plain strain, simple shear,…). Which loading mode should I take to calibrate my bending experiment?

    Hi Bozic,

    I must have missed to respond to your question in a timely manner, sorry.

    Since the stress and strain fields are not homogeneous in bending, there is no pre-defined loading mode for bending.

    To calibrate to bending data you need to use an inverse calibration (External Solver). Make sure you have a recent version of the MCalibration, and then check out the following demo example:

    C:/Program Files/PolyUMod/MCalibration_Test_Cases_2/Demo_external_solver
