I have a simple model. It's ring-shaped membrane with pressure. I use Abaqus. On the next stage, model won't be axisymmetric, so it's just 3d, deformable, shell. Model undergoes large deformation, so Nlgeom = On and UNSYMM = Yes. And I solve a quarter of ring with XSYMM and YSYMM boundary condition. Outside and inside edges has pinned condition. Now I take coefficients from Abaqus Benchmark for hyperelastic material model, but not the question. The question is where should be expected greater strains? At first I thought that the strain will be more in the center than on the edge. But the results have raised questions. The largest strains is on the inside edge and the smallest on the outside. Why is it so? I even do not know whether it is right or an error in the solution.
