    contact modeling

I am new user in Abaqus. I want to model a contact between two surfaces. In order to to connect two surfaces I want to use variable stiffness beam elements between them. How to do this? If someone can help me with a sample cae file where I can have a look for such contact modeling that will be use full. I analyzed my model using frictional or frictionless sliding contact. Now I want to connect the two surfaces using variable stiffness beam element. It will be great if someone can help me on this.

Why would you want to use beam elements for contact?

Can you not use one of the more standard contact approached in Abaqus?

    Ya

the standard contact formats like frictionless or frictional sliding contact etc are already developed in this research area. I would like to make complex contact model using connector. I am not familiar with this type of model. It will be great if you can help me on this.
