Abaqus non uniform pressure load on a 3D beam, no equilibrium?

Hi dear,

I modelled simply supported beam in 3D space and a non uniform pressure load (similar to a wheel contact load) using subroutine. Ultimately, the support reaction is not equal to the given load using subroutine. What is the probable reason????

Actually, non uniform pressure load can be applied in ABAQUS/CAE directly.

Thank you very much zsq-w,

My objective is to apply moving pressure (cyclic pressure) using subroutine..
I can easily apply more complex load pattern vary with the time using Subroutine.. That means, I can change the location of pressure with the time.

Can I use direct load application method to the above application???

Dear Bandula,

I am quite sorry for my misunderstanding of the meanning of your post in #1.

The above application can not be used to apply moving pressure, which can only be applied by subroutine.

Yes..

I have attached the subroutine here...(note; I have removed programme part used for movement)...Subroutine is attached as a txt file

You can used this subroutine to apply pressure on the surface of any structure...the problem is that the reaction of the structure is not similar to the applied load in the subroutine..the other thing is that if you change the mesh size, you will find different reaction...I struggling to understand the reason...

Appreciate any idea in related to this matter..

b=3 a=3 can be changed into a=3.0d0 b=3.0d0.
Are you trying to model a moving pressure in a ellipse?
I attached one of my subroutine. You can have a look and compare them .

Dear zsq-w,

Yes ..I am trying to move ellipital pressure distribution. Initially I need to check the force balance with stationary pressure. That means I want to check the reactions and given force are equal..

I tried as you suggested..still the difference between given force and reactions is same.

By the way..may I know your model is in equilibrium with your subroutine. (that means Given pressure=sum of the reactions)..
