Abaqus randomly crashes when trying to create XY-report from field output in Abaqus

Hi,
I am having a problem when I try to generate a XY-report from field output in Abaqus 6.9-2: Abaqus randomly crashes when I try to generate the report. By random I mean that working with some odb-files are ok, while others makes the program crash.

I tried both manually in CAE and by python scripting.

Does anybody have any ideas what the problem might be?

I am running on a Windows7 64x computer.

That sounds like a bug. Can you try it with a more recent version of Abaqus?
It is still a problem with the most recent version then you should file a but report with Simulia.

I am currently using Abaqus 6.9-2. I will get the opportunity to use 6.10 soon. Hopefully it is not a problem anymore there.

It seems like Abaqus only crashes when I try to write multiple xyData to a report file. So the workaround is to write the xyData to file one by one. Do you know if Simulia has any official bug report system?

It appears that this is a known bug in Abaqus 6.8-1 6.8-EF, 6.9-1 and 6.9-2. It has been fixed in versions 6.9-EF and 6.10-1. The bug is related to generating xy-reports with mises stress as field output in three or more unique nodal points. Suggested workaround from SIMULIA is to "compute scalars before averaging" in Results->options. This seems to be working for me.
