abaqus time step increment reduce to a very small value to meet the output time point

hi,

I am trying to output field variables at specified time points. However, abaqus reduce time increment to 1.1e-16 to meet a specified time point. and then abaqus calculation is a infinite loop with time increment equals to 1.1e-16 everytime. Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem please? Thank you.

Seems like a bug in the program resulting from round-off. If you are doing a static analysis you can try

*STATIC, DIRECT

and provide the time incremental yourself. Not the most ideal but it should work.
