how to estimateTRANSVERSE SHEAR STIFFNESS in VUMAT

    Hi ,

I am trying to solve for S4R elements with the VUMAT (compressible hyperelastic mooney rivlin material model).

this needs transverse shear stiffness to be supplied in input using the keyword *TRANSVERSE SHEAR STIFFNESS

can you kindly help me by giving some idea on how to proceed with this issue.

    thanks a lot

The Abaqus manuals has a section on this. If I remember right, you can use the following approximation: (shear modulus) * (thickness)
