Coupling constraint to connect nodes in one direction

    Dear all,

I used *Coupling to make sure the one-direction
displacements Ui of the nodes on the same line(in 2d axisymmetric model) are the same, but the
question is the reference node can not be localized on the line.
If i choose a point on the same line as reference node, it is giving a warning saying that 'it can not be used as reference node'.

Would you please explain how can I tie the nodes on one line together sothat horizontal line remains horizontal at any point of time during analysis....

    Thanking you in advance

    Regards,
    krishna

You can likely use the *Equation command to enure that the nodes of interest all displace the same amounts in the 2- and/or 3-directions.
