ANSYS 14.5 and PolyUMod

ANSYS version 14.5 was recently released and it seems like it contains a large number of nice improvements. I am also happy to announce that the current version of the PolyUMod library works great also with this new version of ANSYS.

A new version of the PolyUMod library has also been released. This new version (2.2.5) contains numerous improvements to both the MCalibration software and the PolyUMod library. For example, MCalibration can now calibrate any of the built-in material models in ANSYS Mechanical.


The default installation location for the PolyUMod library files (UserMatLib.dll and libansysuser.so) is in:
C:\Program Files\PolyUMod\PolyUMod_ANSYS_14 (For Windows)
and:
/opt/PolyUMod/PolyUMod_ANSYS_14 (For Linux)

In some cases ANSYS seems to have a hard time finding these shared library files. There are two alternative installation methods that sometimes work better (for Windows computers):

1. Install the files to: C\Temp
2. Install the UserMatLib.dll file and the rlm922.dll files to the system shared library directories:
   C:\ANSYS Inc\v145\ansys\bin\winx64\UserMatLib.dll
   C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\v145\ansys\bin\winx64\UserMatLib.dll
