• Abaqus on Ubuntu Linux

I happy to announce that both Abaqus 6.9 and 6.10 work fine also on the two latest versions of Ubuntu Linux (9.10 and 10.4). I performed the same steps as listed in the following thread to install the Abaqus software.

The new version of Ubuntu does not come with libstdc++5, but instead the newer libstdc++6. To make the software work I had to download and install the libstdc++5 library from the following debian page.
