problem with modeling yarn used for producing tufted carpet

hi guys, I encountered some problems with my paper work.
I need to analyse the yarn tension when yarns are passing a kind of equipment called gear-like rollers. These yarns are nylon S twist yarn or Z twist yarn and BCF yarns. I wonder anyone knows about how to model these yarns in Abaqus or other FEM software .

The attachment is a sketch about what the equipment and yarn in the middle of it look like.

Can anyone give me some suggestions , thanks a lot.

You should be able to simulate the interaction between the gear-like rollers and the yarn using Abaqus/Explicit. I am not quite familiar with the different types of yarn that you mentioned (S, Z, BCF), can you explain what they are?
