Dear Jorgen and others:
I am trying to determine the stress field around a crack tip in a linear viscoelastic media. It seems that in ABAQUS the stress intensity factor is only applicable to elastic materials and J-integral is only for elastic or elastic-plastic materials. Both K and J-integral could not be used for viscoelastic materials. If I just assign viscoelastic properties to the material and mesh the part as we usually do around a crack tip in an elastic material (including the singularity), would the stresses and strains given by ABAQUS be the viscoelastic responses around the crack tip? Thanks
