Hi, Dr. Bergstrom

Well, I would like to ask u about prediction of vibration isolation. My materials is rubber joint with the steel plate top and bottom of rubber. The vibration characteristics of isolator were defined in terms of the transmissiblity frequency response function which is the ratio of displacement response of the output to the displacement excitation applied to the input end plate. My materials properties I have got from my experiment and input in frequency domain analysis. The rubber isolation were subjected to steady-state dynamic analysis over frequency range from 10-200 Hz. I would like to predict the transmissibility in this frequency range. How can I apply input the excitation displacement(function sine) and how can I get the output displacement? Abaqus can calculate the transmissibility? or I have to calculate by myself. That is output/input displacment? I read the book How to analys the static and dynamic response of viscoelastic componenet of NAFEMS which have some examples but not clear for me.

Best regards

Thank you very much.
