Hi to everybody! It's nice to find a friendly and interesting forum about modeling and polymers.
Anyway, I'm here to ask if anybody knows what this warning message means, and if there's a solution for it:

"***WARNING: NO SEPARATION surface behavior specified in conjunction with balanced master-slave contact may overconstrain the contact interface, causing unstable behavior and/or inaccurate results. See the contact pair defined between surfaces ASSEMBLY__INACT-6 and ASSEMBLY__INACT-7"

I'm simulating a multilayered structure with a moving load using Abaqus/Explicit and Python. The materials of each layer are modeled as viscoelastic using prony. The connection between the layers, that in reality are fix (no separation and penetration are expected under normal loading) where modeled as contact pair with hard pressure oveclosure, no separation, rough tangential behaviour, kinematic constraint. The problem is that I get some undesirable high frequency noise on my results, probably due to the errors informed in these warning messages
So, if you have and idea why is this happening, I will really appreciate an explanation. Thank you so much in advance.

Contact can be tricky to get right, even with Explicit. Have you tried to:
(1) simply tie the two surfaces together
(2) use a one-sided contact pair (not balanced master-surface)

Hi Jorgen,
Thank you very much for your answer! I was trying to do what you proposed, but still couldn't make run a job without warning messages so far. But I'll arrive to a solution soon. Thanks again
