Our school provides both XP and Linux versions of ABAQUS V6.6. I am always using XP version and now I plan to try linux version. Is it worthy to take a try? Is there any advantage of linux version over XP version?

In my experience, the XP and Linux versions of ABAQUS work very similarly. If you prefer working with Linux computers, then use Linux, otherwise use XP.
