I'm not sure I understand your question, and since I don't use ANSYS too often I am not sure I can help. Perhaps someone else can provide info...

There is a command window that displays every action you take in ANSYS. You might want to use the advantage of that. If you want to do this so as to save time of remaking the design, I would say, try the other way around. First make a dat file of commands and simply edit it as per needs.
