Hi all,
I'm starting to prepare an ABAQUS model for determine the Bauschinger effect due to thermal strains (hardening during thermal cycling between 50º and 20ºC).
I need to implement the periodic boundary condition to and 3D region so small for take a few minutes running the mode and so big to get a good post. This is the reason for use the periodic BC. How can I do this?
I'm just a beginner in the ABAQUS world that don't know what is the exact command for this.
Thanks a lot for your help!

I am not quite sure I understand why you need periodic boundary conditions (BC), can you not use a single element?

You can create periodic BCs using the *Equation command, also see the following thread (http://www.polymerfem.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=261&highlight=periodic).

The need to use periodic BC is to simulate the substract curvature of an infinite plane, like a substract of 200 micron recovered with a film of 1 micron. S, I hope that using the periodic BC I will be able to the see the substract stress state.

Can you please specify what do you mean by Subtract Curvature of an Infinite Plane ? Perhaps that might convey a clearer picture..
